User's recommendation: If you sign up do not use a debit card because you will have to cancel your debit card because they wont stop taking money out of your account

Groupon had visits left need to look up?

I signed up for a groupon I used it in Boca FL I believe I have 3 visits left but cannot call that studio because they are closed. I wanted to see if I could use those visits at another location in Pompano FL? But the studio in pompano said they cannot look it up in their system? After being a member of ILKB for almost 3 years, living in New York, I had moved to Chattanooga Tennessee about 3 months ago. There is no ILKB studio anywhere nearby at all. I am heartbroken, i miss my ILKB workouts so much. Any possibility of a studio opening up in this area any time in the foreseeable future? I would jump right on board

Dissatisfied

"I am emailing because I am very dissatisfied with the customer service. I am paid in full at the White Rock Location on Garland Rd. in Dallas, Texas. I am uncomfortable in returning to the location or using the rest of my unused paid membership due to the Covid-19 pandemic and me being high risk with having high blood pressure and being 46 years old. I do not want to risk catching the virus or risking my life. I have contacted the owner of this location on several occasions without any resolve. The owner Daniel seem to not care about my concern and refuses to offer a refund for unused membership or even give me a partial refund. He has yet to respond to my lately email and seems to not care about his customers concerns. Unfortunately I do not have over $800.00 to give a way and I work hard for my money. Is there any way to help me resolve this issue. I did not want this pandemic or the loss of my hard earned money. This is very alarming to the type of business ethics of this company as well as it's treatment of its consumers. Very bad business practice and poor customer service." Customers being charged monthly dues while the gym has been shut down for two months during Covid state of emergency

I have been getting charged the full fee of 1$65.00 per month even though the gym has been closed due to a mandatory statewide shut down during the coronavirus pandemic and stated she would not be able to waive any fees because she would need to continue paying her instructors? FOR WHAT? THE GYM IS CLOSED. The owner has stated she would offer online classes and rent out bags to those who would like them for a fee of $50.00. I did not sign a contract for online classes. I asked to rent a bag but her facility ran out of them. On top of that, asking members to pay $50.00 to rent a bag when I already pay 165.00 per month is really advantageous and shameful.

User's recommendation: Be careful which location you choose to join. Alot of them are run by a set of their own rules and if something goes wrong your pretty much left to deal with them on your own.

Annoyed Potential Customer

I signed up for their $30 package which includes 5 classes and a pair of gloves. They didn't have any problem taking my money and signing me up for a consult. I went into the Lakewood, CO location for my consult, and found out that due to COVID-19 they actually aren't able to offer this service. So instead they tried to sell me on a year-long membership which is $395 down payment and $175 per month after that. The individual I worked with although nice, I could tell he just wanted to make a sale. I informed him that I was moving in the next couple of months and was concerned that this membership would not transfer. He told me that the membership was only valid at their location. I was not comfortable filling out the membership form and did not want to provide my CC information due to this. The gentleman told me to complete the form and I can always call back to cancel for a full refund. I did not do that as I knew I wasn't going to get a membership with them. On my way home he called me twice and texted me stating I could use this membership at other locations. I will not be paying this company any more money. On top of the service they are unable to provide me, not once was a refund mentioned, so I am out $30 for something advertised on their website that they are unable to offer. Kind of *** don't you think? If the service is not available there should be a disclaimer, or they should not be able to take your money. I signed up with Sweat with Kayla for $10/month and the ability to work out from home or anywhere I see for. Do not waste your time/money/energy!!!!

On January 30th after a $30.70 trial session, I signed up for a 6 month membership with iLoveKickboxing (ILKB). I paid in full, by debit, to try and save a bit of money.

Total was $875.75.

Week later, I received an email:

"From: Tee C: ilkbrefund@***.com;

Date: Fri, Feb 8, 2019 at 15:17

Subject: ILKB

Dear iLoveKickBoxing.com Member,

As stated in the preceding email, the studio is closed. We will be issuing you a full or partial refund for your membership purchased in January. Please confirm this email will accept e-transfers or if you would prefer a cheque, please respond with your mailing address. All refunds will be issued in the next three weeks."

As you can guess, no refunds have been issued.

Headquarters stated that it is a franchise and I need to speak to the owner.

The owner is Craig Thompson of Burlington Bay Inc.

o\a iLoveKickboxing in Ontario Canada.

Also known as 256**** ONTARIO INCORPORATED, and he is no where to be found.

I have sent several emails - still no response.

The studio is closed, their voice mail is full, and their social media has been deleted.

I have an open case with the BBB after the Ministry of Consumer Services told me to contact the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada. I did, but there is nothing filed under any of the names I have found.

I know it is just $906.45, but I would like it back.

I can't get in touch with ANYONE!!! It is completely ridiculous that I can only email and I get NO response and when I do get a response, it is barely considered that. I have medical documentation to cancel my account and I want a refund from that date forward!!! This is thousands of dollars!!!!!! This is people's livelihood!!! DISGUSTING!!!!

Membership cancelation

I have tried to contact ilkb for the past 3 weeks to cancel my membership since I'm moving out of state. My studio was well aware that I will be here for 6 months and then need to cancel as I move out of state. Now there is no one contacting me. I've left voicemails, emails, and facebook messages. Wow, they were always so quick to respond before the shut down and now nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone. I was just charged for April as of today and I feel I'm being ignored intentionally. They also increased my rate from what I originally signed for. I really was enjoying my membership with this company but after this I will definitely not be renewing.

Gym closed due to Covid but I still got charged

Wondering if anyone's gym was closed due to Covid and they did NOT make you pay for your monthly membership fee, considering it was closed. I got charged but haven't been since the first week of March...... I try to contact headquarters in NY but doesn't seem to get me anywhere. I actually enjoy the classes and trainers are intense but in a good way. I'm not complaining about my contract, just wondering why I'm being charged when we aren't allowed to be there.... doors are closed.

I am having the same issue. I did get a response and they are continuing to hold me to my contract even though they are not providing the service.

I have contacted my states Attorney general’s office and the referred it to the consumer protection agency. They were very helpful. I canceled in March, paid march membership dues and got charged again in april.

They will not be in business long doing this to their customers in a crisis like this. Good luck!
